Treatment of halitosis (bad breath)
 

There are two sources of bad breath: chemical and bacterial. Chemical sources are typically foods or drinks we have ingested, but can also be a sign of a disease like diabetes. Alcohol and tobacco also fall in this category.

The other source is bacterial. This is typically the kind of nagging bad breath that most people want to be rid of. The four main reasons for bacterial bad breath are dry mouth, post nasal drip, dental decay, and gum disease.
